This book was a lot of fun to read: predictable but sweet. This is Part 1 of the Renegades series, and this story focuses on Beau, the youngest member of the boy band the Renegades, who is madly in love with their manager Lizzie. Lizzie is attracted to Beau but doesn't want to be romantically involved with him because he is a client and is 7 years younger than Lizzie. Beau is relentless in his pursuit of Lizzie so she finally agrees to date him for one month. Beau works really hard to capture her heart but at the end of the month she still breaks up with him under the misguided belief that she's not good enough him. When she breaks up with him she totally and completely breaks his heart.Lizzie quickly realizes her mistake but by that time Beau is hurt in an accident and wants nothing to do with her. We get to watch as they struggle to find their way back to each other again. The book doesn't end on a cliffhanger per se, you know the couple gets to their HEA but you are still left with not completely knowing how their story ends.
So, I really liked the book. Beau was so sweet and kind and gentle. Even though he was a rock star, he was humble and had a great family. I liked Lizzie: she was competent, independent and feisty. I didn't like the way she treated Beau but I understood it. I also really liked how the author focused on Lizzie's brother Denny and his struggle with PTSD. I understand he will have his own book and I look forward to reading it.
I will also go on to read the next book in the series. I really LOVED her taboo love series; this series is not starting off as good but it was still entertaining. The Taboo Series characters had a little more depth and the stories were just more interesting. The plot development in this book is quicker but hopefully the next book will be a little longer and the author will have time to develop the characters with a little more depth.

3.5 stars- wiriting was a little cheesey.
part of series but can be read as a stand alone. HEA
the story of Beau and Lizette... I loved Beau he was sweet , good guy. Beau was in love with Lizette and has been asking her out for years. Lizetter does not think that she is good enough for Beau and uses their age difference as a buffer. She claims he is immature and too young. I think he was more mature than she was. She agreed to a month long secret relationship with him thinking she was going to get him to stop chasing her after the month was over. Things were not as easy as she thought after the month was over.
The supporting characters were interesting and I look forward to reading more. The preview for the next book seems interesting.
I like May/December romances and I thought this looked like a good one. The story clipped right along but I found Beau's character to be a little unbelievable even for a fictional work. He was too clingy and I had a had time believing he saved himself for the right person. I thought Lizette's parents would play a more prominent role in the book. I also had a hard time with the author brushing off Dennis' PTSD so easily with a short stint in a VA hospital. It was a quick read with a decent story line but could have been better. I don't think I'll bother with the rest of the series though.
Spoilers included.
It was refreshing that the h, Beau was a virgin at 21 years old. I was also majorly relieved that after Lizette the h, broke up with him, he did not sleep with anyone else. (As is typically with books, Lizettem of course, did not sleep with anyone else.) I was concerned because during the breakup he took drugs, drank and partied too much. Also his bodyguard said he that he was with a lot of women. Unfortunately did things with them including oral but never slept with them. I know it does not matter to some readers but it does to me. I hate it when a couple breaks up, especially for such as short period of time as this, around 4 weeks, and sleep with other people. (I don't want either to do anything else with anyone else but for me the final act with OW or OM bothers me... alot.) Usually it is the hero sleeping with OW as opposed to the heroine sleeping with OM. So I am grateful to the author for not having Beau go all the way with the OW.
Occasionally grammar mistakes were noticeable. Also while I did like the book, it did not keep my attention. I would read some of it and then a couple more books. Then I would go back to this book. It took me 3 weeks to finish and I probably read 20 other books in between.
The book has a good ending. It looks like that are more books in the series that will be published soon and I am wiling to try them.
Sweet Renegade was a good and light romance rockstar read. This book didn't have much, if any of the drama you usually expect when it comes to rockstars. Beau is a member of Renegade, one of the most known rockstar bands, and as much as females throw themselves at him the one woman he wants want nothing to do with him. Lizette is the bands manager and has watched Beau grow into the handsome man that lets her constantly know he wants her. However she is 7 years older than him and see's him as being too young to be with. When he offers her a proposition for 30 days, how can she refuse? They both want something from each other; he wants her and she wants him to stop pursuing her. However, when its comes down to the end of their deal who is left with a broken heart? Can things really go back to the way there were once certain lines were crossed?
Having never read a book from this author before I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but this book was a good read and I was happy with the ending. With that being said, I'm unsure if I will read the next book in the series. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the book but at the end of it, it didn't leave me feeling the need to rush out and read the next book. I was happy with the ending, but during the story I just felt like there was something missing that would have made the story a great read for me. Would I recommend this book? Yes, because it was a good read. This is one of those books where you read the first book and it's good but it doesn't leave you excited and wanting to continue the series, however, you are happy you did read it and in my case was introduced to a new book and author.
